Academic Salon on Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Held at Renshu Medical
On November 18, Renshu Medical hosted an academic salon on otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery in the outpatient hall. The event brought together experts from Hangzhou First People's Hospital, Xiaoshan Third Hospital, and Xiaoshan Fourth Hospital, along with Renshu Medical's specially appointed ENT specialist Prof. Su Lizhong (Director of Otorhinolaryngology at Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital), Renshu Medical Group's Medical Director Prof. Shen Wei, ENT specialist Dr. Pi Leiming, and other medical team members and clinic leaders for knowledge sharing and discussion. The salon featured a vibrant atmosphere and insightful content.
This academic salon aimed to establish and maintain a platform for exchange among otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery professionals in Hangzhou and surrounding regions. By sharing experiences, discussing knowledge, and showcasing specialized techniques, the event sought to enhance diagnostic and treatment expertise, foster academic collaboration, and contribute positively to the discipline's development and professional growth in both the clinic and the broader medical community.
At the beginning of the salon, Professor Shen Wei, Medical Director of Renshu Medical Group, explained the construction of Renshu Medical's quality and safety system and its DNV certification system. Professor Shen started with the concept of "one core, three supporting points" - patient-centered quality and safety, supported by physical environment services, clinical management services, and comprehensive quality assurance - introducing Renshu Medical's system that meets international accreditation standards.
As is well known, ENT-head and neck diseases are characterized by their wide variety, high incidence rate, and significant impact on quality of life. Since surgery serves as the most common and effective treatment method, patient safety management becomes particularly crucial.
Professor Shen stated that the medical industry requires extremely high professional and technical standards. Adopting international standards for medical institution certification serves as an important method to evaluate medical safety and service quality, while also helping to enhance service concepts and optimize service processes.
Renshu Medical is a healthcare institution where both its outpatient department and day surgery center have simultaneously obtained DNV-GL standard certification. From doctors and nurses to anesthesiologists, there is a complete management system in place to ensure patient safety.
Subsequently, Professor Su Lizhong, Director of Otolaryngology at Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital and specially appointed ENT expert at Renshu Medical, delivered a presentation titled "Academic Knowledge Sharing on Head and Neck Surgery". Combining theoretical knowledge, analysis of typical cases, and introduction of advanced experience, he shared key diagnostic and treatment points for head and neck surgery-related diseases as well as new advances in treatment technologies, while answering questions from attendees one by one.
Professor Su Lizhong is one of the leading head and neck surgeons in Zhejiang Province, specializing in minimally invasive surgery for laryngeal cancer. He has also conducted in-depth research on endoscopic minimally invasive treatments for nasal polyps, sinusitis, and sinonasal tumors. Over the years, through our Distinguished Physicians Studio, Professor Su has efficiently reached patients and benefited numerous individuals.
Many participants remarked that Professor Su's lecture was practical and targeted, resolving various clinical surgical dilemmas they had previously encountered. His insights provided a deeper understanding of certain complex diseases and offered new perspectives for future diagnosis and treatment.
Following the salon, all attendees conducted an on-site tour of Renshu Medical Clinic. Participants spoke highly of the clinic's physical environment, medical equipment, and service systems. Many expressed hope that Renshu Medical would organize more such academic salons to enhance exchanges on treatment techniques and management models, ultimately improving patient care services.
