Renshu ENT Becomes First Private Outpatient Department to Join China's Day Surg

Renshu ENT Officially Accredited as Member Unit of China Day Surgery Alliance

On September 15, at the 10th National Day Surgery Academic Annual Conference and the 10th Anniversary Commemoration of China Day Surgery Cooperation Alliance held in Beijing under the theme "Day Surgery Promotes High-Quality Hospital Development", Renshu ENT was officially accredited as a member unit of China Day Surgery Alliance. This makes it the first specialized private medical institution in China to independently operate day surgery as a member unit of the alliance. Dr. Chen Guangqiang, Medical Director of Renshu ENT (Hangzhou Branch), accepted the official accreditation on behalf of the institution.

"China Day Surgery Cooperation Alliance" is a national professional organization under the leadership of the Medical Administration Bureau of the National Health Commission. It is committed to building an academic exchange platform for day surgery, promoting exchanges, cooperation and training in day surgery services, and actively facilitating international cooperation and exchanges in related fields. The alliance adopts a "membership admission system", divided into member units and observer units. Observer units must have performed day surgery for more than one year and conducted over 500 cases annually to qualify for applying as member units. The alliance expert panel conducts comprehensive evaluations based on "day surgery-related systems, equipment and facility conditions, management processes, admission and assessment standards".

As of December 2022, China Day Surgery Cooperation Alliance had 230 member institutions, including 120 member units such as Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, and Shenzhen People's Hospital.

In 2019, Renshu ENT was invited to attend the 13th International Day Surgery Congress held in Portugal, being the only domestic medical institution representing China for academic exchange. After returning to China, it was invited to join China Day Surgery Alliance as an observer unit. With extensive clinical experience accumulated in the ENT specialty field, Renshu has safely performed nearly 7,000 day surgeries to date. Being honored as the only specialized day surgery center member unit in the alliance not only recognizes Renshu ENT's years of exploration in day surgery, but also affirms the participation of private medical institutions in day surgery development and construction, as well as acknowledges Renshu's long-term endeavors.

As one of China's earliest private medical institutions to explore independent day surgery centers, Renshu ENT provides comprehensive ENT specialty services in compliance with both DNV and SGS international certification standards.

The institution has established strict medical evaluation and admission criteria covering surgical procedure selection and pre/intra/postoperative assessments, adopting only day surgery procedures that meet National Health Commission requirements while utilizing advanced minimally invasive techniques and rapid recovery methods.

Renshu ENT places particular emphasis on perioperative management, postoperative home care and rehabilitation guidance, with special attention to multidisciplinary pain management in day surgery settings.

These systematic explorations by Renshu ENT ensure standardized surgical processes while delivering optimal medical care at every treatment stage, advancing the development of day surgery and pioneering new medical service models.

As a pioneer in China's independent day surgery centers and a private medical institution, Renshu ENT's inclusion as a member unit of China Day Surgery Alliance not only signifies the alliance's recognition but also demonstrates national encouragement for private healthcare's exploration of day surgery.

Moving forward, Renshu ENT will actively collaborate with China Day Surgery Alliance to jointly explore standardized construction and operation of specialized private day surgery centers; pursue more convenient medical insurance payment policies; strengthen publicity and promotion of day surgery to enhance patient awareness and acceptance; improve medical staff's professional competence and technical skills; and foster cooperation and information sharing among day surgery centers. Together, we will explore high-quality, standardized development of day surgery centers and promote efficient, safe and standardized advancement of day surgery in China.
